NEW ORLEANS – Cofounded by a world-renowned integrative medicine expert, and financially backed by Oprah Winfrey, True Food Kitchen is an award-winning restaurant chain that prides itself on a curated menu, rooted in the principles of the anti-inflammatory diet. Launched in 2008 in Phoenix, Arizona, True Food Kitchen operates 28 locations in 12 states. The first Louisiana location of True Food Kitchen will open on Wednesday, Sep. 25, in The Arts District of New Orleans (801 St. Charles Avenue). It’s currently hiring employees.
Situated on the first floor of The Julia at St. Charles apartment building, the eatery spans approximately 6,500 square feet of a dining area that includes a covered patio, two private dining rooms, and an open kitchen. With seating for 218 patrons, True Food Kitchen features natural woods, greenery and eco-friendly materials and dining chairs made of recycled soda bottles.
The restaurant’s menu rotates seasonally to showcase the freshest produce and nutrient-dense ingredients, and caters to a variety of preferences of all kinds with gluten-friendly, vegan and vegetarian options. The new fall menu comprises roasted beet and goat cheese flatbread, butternut squash pizza, Thai coconut sea bass and the brand’s never-before-seen unbeetable beet burger, among other seasonal items. The restaurant’s scratch bar will serve freshly pressed natural beverages, organic teas, and cocktails, like the ginger margarita and the pom collins.
True Food Kitchen New Orleans will be open daily for lunch and dinner, and for weekend brunch.
Jobs Are Available
Beginning today, August 19, True Food Kitchen will host a three-week job fair in its facility with the goal of hiring approximately 135 team members, including servers, hosts/hostesses, prep cooks, pastry cooks, line cooks, wok cooks, back servers, dishwashers, pizza cooks and bartenders. The restaurant will offer paid employee training, competitive benefits, and the opportunity for advancement. Interested candidates are encouraged to attend the job fair to apply to interview.
