Carrabba's Grand Opening To Benefit The Foundation At EJGH

NEW ORLEANS – The new Carrabba's Italian Grill® in Metairie is opening its doors at 4641 Veterans Blvd. tonight, Monday, February 2, 2015.

         To celebrate the grand opening, Carrabba's is partnering with The Foundation at East Jefferson General Hospital with a giveback event that will benefit The Foundation.

         Carrabba's Italian Grill will donate proceeds from opening day sales to benefit The Foundation at East Jefferson General Hospital to provide funding for educational programs, healthcare services, technology, and capital expansion projects.

"It is through the support of friends like Carrabba's that make it a pleasure to be part of Metairie.          The new restaurant, located near the NW corner of Clearview Parkway and Veterans Boulevard, features a design that mixes traditional and contemporary design inspired by the look and feel of Italy. The 5,500-square-foot location features an open kitchen, a relaxed and casual dining room and bar with family tables, an open kitchen atmosphere, a modern Italian bar and patio dining.

         Carrabba's Italian Grill has hired 120 area residents to join the Carrabba's team. Carrabba's will open for lunch at 11:00 a.m. immediately following a ribbon cutting ceremony at 10:45 a.m. with Jefferson Parish President John Young and Jefferson Chamber of Commerce President Todd Murphy.

         Offering Italian-inspired cuisine passed down from the founders' family recipes, Carrabba's says they use only the best ingredients to prepare fresh and handmade dishes cooked to order in a lively exhibition kitchen. Featuring a wood-burning grill inspired by the many tastes of Italy, customers can enjoy signature dishes, including Chicken Bryan, Spiedino di Mare and a fresh twist on an Italian Classic, Wood-grilled Chicken Marsala.

         Carrabba's was voted #1 Italian in the 2014 Consumer Picks Survey by Nation's Restaurant News.
