Capital One Bank Volunteers Kick Off School Year With Heart Of America BuddyPacks Delivery To Pierre Capdau At Avery Alexander School Students

NEW ORLEANS – Capital One Bank associates will deliver Heart of America BuddyPacks filled with school supplies and books for the students enrolled at Pierre Capdau at Avery Alexander School, 5800 St. Roch Ave.

         More than 900 BuddyPacks will be distributed on Monday, Aug. 7, from 7:00 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. as a “First Day of School Welcome.”

         Opening for the first time at the beginning of the 2017-18 academic year, Avery Alexander will include students from Pierre A. Capdau Charter School and Gentilly Terrace Charter School.

         Reps with Capital One said the company is committed to supporting organizations, including Heart of America that create a positive impact in local communities. Capital One Bank partners with Heart of America to put books into the hands of children in low-income communities. Since 2002, the organizations have donated more than 1.4 million books valued at $11.9 million to approximately 618,000 students across the country.
