NEW ORLEANS – The Crescent City's newest boutique hotel Cambria New Orleans, has named Cullen Stackpole as general manager.
A New Orleans native and Jesuit High School alum, Stackpole has amassed a wealth of knowledge and experience during a career that spans nearly two decades, reps said. As a graduate of the University of Mississippi's hospitality management program, Stackpole began his career at the venerable Fairmont Hotel New Orleans. He has served as assistant manager for the historic St. James Hotel and held leadership positions for both the Doubletree and Renaissance brands. Immediately prior to joining Cambria Hotel New Orleans, Stackpole served as general manager for the Hilton Garden Inn New Orleans Convention Center and the Hilton New Orleans St. Charles Avenue.
As Cambria Hotel New Orleans general manager, Stackpole is responsible for all aspects of the property's day-to-day operation. He will lead the hotel's executive team and serve as brand ambassador for the city's newest property slated to open in the Warehouse District next month.
"Cullen Stackpole's leadership skills and experience in the hospitality industry coupled with his passion for and commitment to New Orleans, make him the ideal general manager to lead our brand's debut into one of the world's truly great travel destinations," Fillmore Hospitality operations executive Patrick Barrett said.
Cambria Hotel New Orleans Downtown Warehouse District is located at 632 Tchoupitoulas St. The hotel is perfectly positioned within easy walking distance to some of the city's most iconic visitor attractions, reps said. With 150 tastefully appointed guest rooms and 12 stylish suites, Cambria is a new build that provides New Orleans business and leisure travelers with spacious accommodations equipped with the latest in communications technology, reps said.
The opening of the new boutique hotel this October marked the brand's first venture into the Louisiana market. The property is part of a growing partnership between Fillmore Hospitality and Choice Hotels, a venture committed to developing a select group of Cambria Hotels across the country.
