NEW ORLEANS – The city's newest boutique hotel, Cambria Hotel New Orleans, 632 Tchoupitoulas St., has named Mary L. "Molly" Hannen as transient sales manager and Courtney Milligan as group sales manager. In keeping with the hotel's desire to hire local talent, both women have Louisiana roots.
A graduate of Louisiana State University, Hannen is an experienced professional who is responsible for soliciting hotel business in the transient market sector. Hannen has a proven track record at some of New Orleans finest hotels. She worked her way up the ladder at the venerable Windsor Court Hotel rising quickly from catering assistant to catering sales manager then sales manager. At InterContinental New Orleans, Hannen worked closely with all departments as catering sales manager and at Hyatt French Quarter she honed her skills as group sales manager. “Molly is a highly energetic creative thinker with a great attention for detail,” Cambria Hotel New Orleans director of sales and marketing Diane Riche said. “Coupled with her sales abilities and strong presentation skills, Molly Hannen is a consummate professional that adds depth to our sales team.”
Milligan is a graduate of the University of New Orleans with a bachelor's degree in business administration and a master’s in marketing. Professionally, Milligan's hospitality abilities were demonstrable during her tenure at the Hilton Garden Inn New Orleans Convention Center where she served as the property's catering sales manager. In her position as group sales manager at Cambria Hotel New Orleans, Milligan is responsible for cultivating and securing groups, specifically corporate and association meetings, securing destination-wedding blocks and procuring military reunions. “Courtney possesses excellent communication skills with a willingness to take the initiative,” Riche said. “In a competitive market like New Orleans, Courtney is a welcome addition to our sales team. An added bonus is her command of the Spanish language, particularly valuable in this fast-paced world of globalization.”
With 153 tastefully appointed guest rooms and 9 stylish suites, Cambria Hotel New Orleans offers New Orleans business and leisure travelers spacious accommodations equipped with the latest in communications technology, hotel reps said.
This newly opened boutique hotel marks Cambria's first venture into the Louisiana market. The property is part of a growing partnership between Fillmore Hospitality and Choice Hotels, a venture committed to developing a select group of Cambria hotels across the country.
