NEW ORLEANS – On Friday, Jan. 16, 2015, expect some spirited discussion at the bar of SoBou, 310 Chartres St., New Orleans, when eight local fledgling entrepreneurs pitch their ideas to a team of experts who will then select 1 to have lunch with and further discuss their ideas.
It’s all part of the “BarPreneurs” lunch hour event, from 12:00 p.m. – 1:30 p.m., where resident BarPreneurs, Tim Williamson, Co-Founder and CEO of Idea Village, and J. Anthony Miguez, an IDEAsession mentor and Entrepreneur-in-Residence for Idea Village, will provide feedback and tips on pitching ideas.
The event is open to 8 entrepreneurs and guests who just want to watch and learn.
Sparring starts at the bar with minute-long pitches from eight entrepreneurs. The top three will move on to the next round to talk ideas with the team, and the team will then choose their favorite idea and take the winner to lunch at SoBou to continue the conversation.
Potential pitching participants need to email Sam Fritz at sam@commanderspalace.com with a sentence or two about their idea, and spots are reserved on a first-come, first-serve basis.
