Businesses in the Canal/City Park Area Celebrate Intersection Reopening With Bar Crawl

Event will be held on Wednesday Dec. 20 from 6 - 10 p.m.

NEW ORLEANS – The Greater Mid City Business Association (GMCBA) is helping plan an open house/bar crawl from 6-10 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 20 for the businesses along the City Park Avenue and Canal Street corridor to help reacquaint them with their neighbors and customers. The participating businesses are Beachcorner Bar & Grill, The Bulldog on Canal, G’s Pizza, Mick’s Irish Pub, Rosedale Restaurant and Second Line Brewing.

Each of the business has put up a $25 gift card or bar tab for a drawing. Each will be open Wednesday for an open house, with drink specials and other fun surprises.  Participants can start and end at any of the establishments and will be given a punch card. Those purchasing something and getting their card stamped or signed at each of the six establishments will be eligible for the drawing.

“It’s been a tough few months with the construction at the intersection.  We wanted to do something fun to get people used to coming back to all the bars and restaurants in the area, so we got together with (GMCBA) and planned the evening,” said Mark Logan, owner at Second Line Brewing.

GMCBA’s mission is to further the cause for businesses in the mid-city area.  They have monthly mixers highlighting a local business and host the “State of Mid City” annual luncheon, currently scheduled for April 2018.

Tim Levy, GMCBA’s President said, “We were thrilled when Mark of Second Line Brewing asked us to help highlight these business.  The construction made things difficult for the last few months, but the intersection is beautiful and it’s open now, so we’re glad to celebrate and show off the area and the great bars and restaurants."
