Burk Brokerage To Take Time Out From Selling Homes To Serve The Homeless

NEW ORLEANS – On the day before Thanksgiving, Wednesday, November 25, 2015, Burk Brokerage, which specializes in home sales in the Lakeview area of New Orleans and beyond, will close its office and open its heart to the local area homeless, spending the day at the New Orleans Mission.

“This is the second year that our team will be visiting the New Orleans Mission and serving meals to our fellow New Orleanians,” Gigi Burk said. “That they are homeless, has special and ironic meaning to an office that finds homes for those so fortunate. Regardless of the circumstances of why someone visits the Mission, it is a healthy reminder for all of us to remain grateful and humble and to seek opportunities to act on our social and spiritual responsibilities.”

Burk Brokerage Real Estate’s GiGi and Billy Burk, staff and agents will be on hand at the New Orleans Mission, 1134 Baronne St., to help with lunch service from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
