Budget Process About To Begin In New Orleans

NEW ORLEANS (AP) — New Orleans Mayor Mitch Landrieu is preparing to unveil his 2016 budget proposal.

         Landrieu's office says he will present his proposed budget to the City Council on Thursday, October 15, 2015.

         That will be followed by a series of public hearings that begin later in the month — with members hearing from city department and agency heads in a process that continues to mid-November.
