[Brc-membership] MVN 60-Day Lock Status Forecast

The Corps’ Mississippi Valley New Orleans (MVN) District’s Lock and Waterway Status 60-Day Forecast as updated today (March 9, 2016) is attached.

The Harvey Lock is closed to navigation due to the adjacent 4th Street Bridge remaining in the down position for necessary repairs until approximately April 29, 2016.

The Inner Harbor Navigation Canal Lock is scheduled to be dewatered to perform major repairs beginning on approximately August 1, 2016.  The repairs are expected to take approximately 120 days.

The Corps expects the Lock to be reopened on or around November 29, 2016.  The alternate route proposal is for traffic to transit through Baptiste Collette although the Corps must

first secure additional funding to restore Baptiste Collette to fully authorized channel dimensions.
