BATON ROUGE – The Baton Rouge Area Chamber (BRAC) announced that, in collaboration with the Louisiana Regional Leadership Council comprised of the state’s regional economic development organizations, a Statewide Economic Development Summit presented by Entergy will take place in Baton Rouge on Monday, April 18, 2016, featuring keynote presentations by Governor John Bel Edwards and Secretary of Louisiana Economic Development Don Pierson, Jr.
The first-of-its-kind in 10 years, the Statewide Economic Development Summit presented by Entergy is intended to strengthen the state’s economy through shared ideas and business practices.
The Summit will take place at L’Auberge Baton Rouge from 8:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
Additional content for the day includes a presentation by Matt S. Erskine, U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of Commerce for Economic Development and Chief Operating Officer for the Economic Development Administration, a technology panel featuring technology companies from around the state and a national site selection consultant.
