BK House Executive Director
Earlier this fall, BK House named Jennifer Gick as its new executive director. Gick brings more than 26 years of experience in nonprofit programming, special events, grant writing and member services. She joins the organization after nine years as director of development for Young Audiences of Louisiana and Young Audiences Charter Schools.

Her previous roles include positions at Longue Vue House & Gardens and the New Orleans Pharmacy Museum. With a degree in fine arts and art education, Gick said she looks forward to applying her background “at a location that is so rich in New Orleans history” and working with the staff and board “to continue all efforts to preserve and promote BK House & Gardens.”
Gick succeeded Annie Irvin, who stepped down after a decade in the role. Sandra Dartus, president of the board of trustees, praised Irvin’s tenure, noting that she helped raise more than $2.7 million for ongoing restoration of the nearly 200-year-old home.
