Mark Romig is the Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer at New Orleans & Company, a nonprofit that promotes the city’s tourism industry. He’s had a long career in marketing and PR with stops at the Hospital Corporation of America and Peter Mayer Advertising. A graduate of Brother Martin High School and UNO, Romig has gone on to work with just about every iconic New Orleans institution that exists, from the 1984 World’s Fair to the Emeril Lagasse Foundation, the Audubon Nature Institute, the City Park Board of Commissioners, Covenant House, Southern Repertory Theater, the Sugar Bowl Committee and the New Orleans Saints. He’s perhaps best known as the Superdome announcer during New Orleans Saints games. He took over for his late father Jerry Romig, who did the job for 44 years from 1969 until 2013.
