Since 2015, Quentin Messer has served as president and CEO of the New Orleans Business Alliance, a public-private partnership charged with economic development for the city of New Orleans.
Prior to joining NOLABA, Messer was the assistant secretary for Louisiana Economic Development (LED.) Messer has also held C-level leadership posts in education, business consulting and nonprofit environments. For several years, he worked in K-12 education reform, including leadership roles in two national educational management organizations as well as a Broad Residency in urban education – a highly competitive and prestigious mid-career leadership development program. Messer also served as a senior management consultant for BCG (The Boston Consulting Group) and practiced law as a corporate transactions attorney.
One of the most recent in a long list of professional recognitions, in May of 2019Â Messer was chosen as one of North America’s Top 50 Economic Developers by the peer organization ConsultantConnect.
