NEW ORLEANS – BioScrip, Inc. is pleased to announce that LeeAnn Wasshuassen has transitioned from the Baton Rouge BioScrip team to join the Ambulatory Infusion Suite in New Orleans.
“I am thrilled to begin a new chapter with the New Orleans BioScrip team and to continue to work for a company that is constantly innovating the field of infusion therapy services and striving to achieve the best in patient care,” said Wasshuassen, in a statement for a press release.
With over twelve years of nursing experience, Wasshuassen previously worked for Regional Midwest Multiple Sclerosis Center in Milwaukee. Working for fast-paced infusion clinics, she has experience administering Tysabri and intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIG). She became PICC certified in 2016 and has a long-standing history of administering infusion therapy. LeeAnn joins a team of CRNI certified healthcare professionals throughout BioScrip’s regional workforce, including New Orleans, Covington, Hammond, Lafayette, Houma, Lake Charles, Baton Rouge and Jackson, Mississippi, among others.
Thanks to BioScrip’s highly experienced and credentialed team, it reports hospital re-admission rates far below the national average.
Area vice president of operations Kim Harvey said, “We’re excited to have LeeAnn join the New Orleans team. At BioScrip, we strive to create teams with diverse backgrounds and perspectives. It is our goal as a company to grow teammates’ talents and strengths, so they can contribute to the community in a truly meaningful way.”
Wasshuassen graduated from Milwaukee College in 2004 and earned a degree in Nursing from Milwaukee Area Technical College.
