KENNER, LA – The Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Louisiana (HCCL) Foundation’s Bilingual Workforce Training & Business Development Center has been in full operation for the last six months, and continues to thrive and offer much needed assistance to the community, reps said.
Nearly 60 percent of the current participants have either found employment or continued their education through college, vocational training or ESL classes, they said.
“We’ve proven to be a great employment resource for the community thus far,” said HCCL President and CEO Mayra Pineda. “We held a successful job fair in the spring, currently offer both English and Spanish classes and continue to host a variety of seminars to promote business and community development.”
The Bilingual Workforce Training & Business Development Center is located at 2200 Veterans Memorial Blvd., Suite 200, in Kenner.
Open enrollment will continue on a weekly basis every Monday through Friday between the hours of 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
