NEW ORLEANS – The Big Cheezy will celebrate its new Uptown location with a grand opening Friday, September 30, 2016, at 5101 Magazine St., from 11:00 a.m. to midnight.
This is The Big Cheezy’s third location, and in celebration of the company’s significant milestone, the restaurant will be offering every walk-in grilled cheese enthusiast customer a totally free meal, including one of the restaurant's Signature Grilled Cheez, a side, and a fountain drink.
Josh Fogarty, one of The Big Cheezy’s four owners, said he and his partners were motivated to open an Uptown location. “All four of us live in New Orleans and three of us live in different parts of Uptown,” he said. “We have wanted to be able to serve our area since day one and couldn't be happier now that we are finally on Magazine Street.”
The Magazine Street location features new Big Cheezy Signature’s like the Cheezy Steak Burger Melt, Shrimp Remoulade and Big Bird. In addition, it will feature two new menu items unique to this location; the Cajun Patty (hot sausage, cheddar, Monterey Jack, and grilled green peppers on country white) and a FryCheezy (seasoned waffle fries, bacon, cheddar, and Monterey Jack cheese on country white).
The Big Cheezy on Magazine Street will be open Wednesdays to Sundays from 11:00 am to 10:00 pm.
