NEW ORLEANS – The second annual Beignet Fest, which takes place on Saturday, Oct. 7, at the Festival Grounds at City Park, from 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m., announced its first VIP Experience for revelers.
“Each year we want to continue to improve our offerings for festival-goers,” said festival founder and event producer Sherwood Collins. “Beignet Fest’s new VIP Experience will allow attendees to enjoy added amenities like complimentary beer, cold brew coffee and mimosas while watching the musical entertainment.”
The VIP Experience will include unlimited access to a shaded tent and a prime, private viewing area with a dedicated restroom. VIPs will also be treated to Abita Beer and French Market Coffee cold brew coffee as well as mimosas, courtesy of Barefoot Wines. VIP Experience tickets are $50 and may be purchased on Beignet Fest’s website before the festival.
“We love pairing iconic Louisiana brands – like Abita Beer and French Market Coffee with ever-popular mimosas from Barefoot,” Collins said. “These offerings will perfectly complement all the different beignets our food vendors are offering for sale this year. We can’t wait to see everyone enjoying the VIP Experience on Oct. 7.”
Beignet Fest celebrates New Orleans’ most iconic dessert: the beignet. From traditional sweet treats to savory delicacies that feature seafood, cheese and more, the second annual Beignet Fest will be serving up the best beignets in the South and proceeds from Beignet Fest will benefit the Tres Doux Foundation, which makes grants to nonprofits serving children with developmental delays.
Amy and Sherwood Collins created Beignet Fest and the Tres Doux Foundation with a mission to celebrate, embrace and enhance the lives of children with developmental delays and disabilities by presenting them as whole beings, and to support organizations that do the same.
Once again, Ochsner Hospital for Children will present the Kids’ Village – complete with sensory friendly activities, as well as fun for all children. Other Beignet Fest sponsors include French Market Coffee, Abita Beer, Gambel Communications, Deep Fried Advertising, The New Orleans Advocate, New Orleans Coffee & Beignet Company, Gulf Coast Bank & Trust Co., New Orleans Tourism Marketing Corporation, Barefoot Wines, River Parish Disposal, Regions Bank, The Ruby Slipper Café, NOLA Family, Louisiana Life, Villere’s Florist and Adams and Reese, LLP.
