BCM Promotes Christy Ross to Chief Operating Officer

NEW ORLEANS – Baptist Community Ministries, a faith-based private foundation providing philanthropic services, has promoted Christy Ross to chief operating officer. Ross most recently served as senior vice president of grants.

“I am thrilled to announce the well-deserved promotion of Christy to this new and pivotal role within our organization,” said Inman J. Houston, BCM president and CEO, in a press release. “She has consistently demonstrated exceptional leadership, strategic vision, and a deep commitment to our organization’s values and our partners as well.”

Ross will drive BCM’s service activities and lead all of BCM’s programs in chaplaincy, congregational wellness and grants.

Ross joined the BCM team seven years ago as the health grants program director. She has served in various leadership roles at the NAACP, Louisiana Public Health Institute, Metropolitan Human Services District, AAAneurysm Outreach, Tulane Hospital and Xavier University of Louisiana.
