NEW ORLEANS – Reps with Bart's Office, Inc. said they are very honored to have received two awards at last night’s Green Games Awards Gala, New Orleans' sustainability event of the year.
“Our first award was decided upon by LifeCity's jury of experts,” a Bart’s press statement read. “This was the 'Emerging Leadership Award for Building and Energy Services'. Our second award 'The Peoples Choice award', was decided upon by you. Thanks to all who voted for us!”
The Green Games Awards Gala took place at Eiffel Society, 2040 St. Charles Ave., from 7:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. It’s an academy awards-like program honoring awardees with networking, a silent auction, local food and live entertainment by Tank & the Bangas and local comedians.
In the last five years, LifeCity has presented more than 100 awards for sustainable achievements and leadership empowering changemakers to take on the next steps in their sustainability missions.
At the forefront of social innovation, the Green Games Awards Gala celebrates the progress local businesses have made in sustainability; inspiring other New Orleans' industries to do the same as sustainability becomes the "norm" and not the exception for business success.
This year, more than 150 businesses competed for Sustainability Achievement awards in Greater New Orleans. Business leaders in seven categories won awards.
LifeCity is a membership-based organization that makes social and environmental impact profitable for businesses. Reps said they seek to ensure that businesses that want to go green have the support to do so, and businesses that claim to be green are truly implementing socially and environmentally responsible practices.
