NEW ORLEANS – Organizers of Bacchus Bash, the annual, indoor/ outdoor Mardi Gras block party which started in 1987, released the official schedule for this year’s music entertainment. Bacchus Bash, which attracts thousands of partygoers, will kick off at 12:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 7, 2016, from Generations Hall located at 310 Andrew Higgins Dr.
The popular Mardi Gras tradition is free to the general public.
The official music lineup is as follows:

12:30 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. – Paris Avenue
2:30 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. – Category 6
4:30 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. – TopCats
6:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. – Flow Tribe
Bacchus Bash 2016 will also serve as the city’s largest Super Bowl viewing party this year. Generations Hall will bring in a gigantic LED screen that will broadcast the game and will also show Super Bowl 50 on dozens of televisions throughout the venue. Bacchus Bash guests can easily go in between watching the big game and the super Krewe of Bacchus. Each year Bacchus Bash attracts thousands of Sunday’s parade riders and revelers celebrating the big weekend before Mardi Gras.
Bacchus Bash is always held the Sunday before Fat Tuesday, and it showcases some of the city’s best local bands and great drink specials. This year’s Bacchus Bash also features “Red Bull Thre3Style Champion” Eskei83, DJ Mannie Fresh, DJ Spin, DJ Wixx and DJ TAF, and the Ugly Dog Saloon and the La Cocinita Food Truck will provide a variety of tasty food options.
The outdoor /indoor block party is free and open to the public, but VIP tickets are available for $100 each which include access to the outdoor grandstand, private rooms and bathrooms inside and an open bar.
