Bacchus Bash 2016 Unveils Entertainment For Free Mardi Gras Block Party

NEW ORLEANS – Organizers of Bacchus Bash 2016, the festive, day-long party that precedes the renowned Bacchus parade, announced the entertainment for this year’s Mardi Gras extravaganza. The free, annual block party kicks off at 12:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 7, 2016, from Generations Hall at 310 Andrew Higgins.

         Bacchus Bash 2016 offers a host of live music performances, which include Flow Tribe, the TopCats, Category 6 and Paris Avenue. The popular Mardi Gras tradition that takes place the Sunday before Fat Tuesday is an indoor/outdoor party showcasing several stages, some of the city’s best local bands and great drink specials. This year’s Bacchus Bash also features “Red Bull Thre3Style Champion” Eskei83, DJ Mannie Fresh, DJ Spin, DJ Wixx and DJ TAF, and the Ugly Dog Saloon and the La Cocinita Food Truck will provide a variety of food options.

         Bacchus Bash 2016 will also serve as the premier venue for Super Bowl Sunday festivities. Generations Hall will bring in a gigantic LED screen that will broadcast the game inside room three, and all the televisions will also play the Super Bowl.

         The outdoor/indoor block party is free and open to the public, but VIP tickets are available for $100 each which include access to the outdoor grandstand, private rooms and bathrooms inside and an open bar.

         Bacchus Bash was started in the 1980s, and the day-long celebration always precedes the renowned Bacchus parade and offers patrons the option to watch the super krewe of Bacchus in VIP fashion.
