AFP Greater New Orleans hosts monthly professional development meetings, a June 20 fundraising conference, and National Philanthropy Day in November. The chapter is designated as an AFP IDEA Champion and the recipient of the 2023 Ten Star Gold Award. The award encourages chapters to perform activities that increase professionalism in fundraising while promoting public awareness of philanthropy. Less than 20% of AFP’s 200 professional chapters earn the Ten Star Gold Chapter recognition.

“I am honored to serve as the president of the AFP Greater New Orleans Chapter for 2024 and carry on the legacy of advancing philanthropy in the community. I am grateful for the hard work of our chapter leadership in bringing meaningful programming to our membership,” said Briede.
