NEW ORLEANS – Announced today in a press release, on Aug. 25, the Board of Directors of Longue Vue House and Gardens is hosting
ArtVue at the Ace Hotel from 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., in order to generate funds for art and art education at Longue Vue House and Gardens.
In response to growing interest, Longue Vue House and Gardens reported that it has reinvigorated its approach to art education through the addition of an Artist-in-Residence program. By continuing to expand its art-focused and creative programming, Longue Vue is positioning itself to do more for the community as a cultural center.
The goal of ArtVue is to celebrate art and artists in our community, specifically Longue Vue’s Artist-in-Residence Jamar Pierre, and to raise funds to advance creative opportunities and art programming at Longue Vue. We are thankful for the support of our presenting sponsors the Ace Hotel, Goldring Family Foundation, Sazerac, and Lexus of New Orleans, and for their dedication to Longue Vue, our local community, and the arts. At ArtVue, the work of Jamar Pierre will be highlighted and available to purchase, in addition to serving as the inspiration for the overall look and feel of the event. Thanks to several of our dynamic sponsors—Blue Gardenia Events, Kim Starr Wise, and Firefly Ambience—guests will feel as if they have been dropped into one of J. Pierre’s colorful and culturally vibrant paintings. The Ace Hotel will be transformed with décor inspired by Pierre’s Tricentennial painting “Resilience” and many of his other works. There will be live music by Randi and the Lo-Fi Soul and plenty of delicious food.
Tickets are available online now at www.longuevue.com/artvue.
