RUSTON, La. – Argent Financial Group was recently named to the Louisiana Economic Development’s (LED) inaugural list of Louisiana Growth Leaders, one of 10 companies selected for the honor. The company was recognized for its outstanding contributions to the health of its local and statewide communities and was evaluated on criteria that included company growth, strategy, leadership, culture and philanthropy. As an award winner, Argent Financial Group will have access to strategic business resources with the goal of accelerating the growth of Louisiana’s economy. Resources include participation in customized leadership retreats, recognition events, networking opportunities, educational programs and additional technical assistance.
Key aspects that influenced LED’s decision to honor Argent Financial Group included:
● The company rewards employees for financial contributions made to United Way with extra, paid time off
● Argent Financial Group helped kick-start the Ruston-Lincoln Community Foundation in June 2018 (in coordination with the Community Foundation of North Louisiana) by creating a donor-advised fund and initially funding it with $30,000
● The company was selected to Inc. magazine’s 2018 list of the 5,000 fastest-growing private companies in America (the only north Louisiana company and the only Louisiana-based financial services firm on the list)

The awards were announced at LED’s annual Spotlight Louisiana ceremony held on March 14 in Baton Rouge.
The other nine companies named to the inaugural list of Louisiana Growth Leaders include: Calls Plus, E-Claim.com, ILSI Engineering, ITinspired, LogoJET, Pod Pack International, Southern Designs, Techneaux Technology Services and Waitr. More than 350 growth-oriented companies that are part of LED’s Growth Network were invited to apply for the award and 22 finalists were also recognized.
