NEW ORLEANS – The Warehouse District’s modern Creole and Southern restaurant Annunciation, 1016 Annunciation St., and Republic National Distributing Company, will host Whiskey Wednesday on Wednesday, Dec. 21, from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., to showcase its new bar and lounge area.
Uniquely curated whiskey cocktails were developed in partnership with Republic National Distributing Company and the Annunciation’s bar team. Priced between $9 – $15, some of the innovative libations will include The Kentucky Mule with Woodford Reserve, ginger beer and fresh lime juice; New Fashioned with Buffalo Trace Bourbon, Simple Syrup, Peychaud’s Bitters, strawberry and blueberries; The Irish Derby with Tullamore Dew Irish Whiskey, Carpano Antica Sweet Vermouth, Cointreau, fresh lime juice and Angostura bitters; and the Shotgun Wedding with Amador Double Barrel Bourbon Whiskey, Bayou Satsuma liqueur, house-made sours and lemon/ lime soda.
Cocktails and spirits will be offered along with bites from Executive Chef Jacob Cureton including specialty bar bites ranging from $3 – $7. Feature dishes are Pork Cracklins with Chap Farms pork skin, Andouille spice and cress; Boudin Balls with house Boudin, creole mustard and pickles; Smoke-Fried Chicken; a Cheeseburger with ground short rib, white cheddar and a brioche bun, and more.
