NEW ORLEANS – Animal Rescue New Orleans (ARNO), a grassroots no-kill animal shelter, has recently partnered with virtual reality agency R&D Design to produce a series of virtual reality videos to highlight the lovable animals that desperately need a home and how easy it is to become a volunteer.
ARNO was formed out of necessity after Hurricane Katrina and relies entirely on its volunteers and charitable contributions to ensure the stability of the organization and the successful care and placement of the homeless animals that are rescued daily, ARNO reps said. To date, ARNO has placed more than 8,500 animals into loving homes.
“We are always looking for better ways to highlight what it is we do here at ARNO to attract more caretakers and volunteers,” said Michael Tu, a veteran volunteer at ARNO. “And what better way than teaming up with a company that specializes in developing engaging marketing strategies utilizing the latest marketing techniques and technology.”
“People love animals, we love animals, each of our team members has a rescued pet,” David Holtman, Managing Director at R&D Design, said. “So we really couldn’t have come up with a better project to collaborate on. We couldn’t be happier about the opportunity to help spread the great work ARNO is doing.”
One video a week will be posted to ARNO’s Facebook page and reposted to R&D Design’s Facebook page in the coming weeks to help attract attention and grow support for the volunteer based organization.
