Andy's Bistro To Reopen After Fire

NEW ORLEANS – Following several weeks of repairs caused by a major fire, Andy’s award-winning Bistro is set to reopen in Metairie today, Dec. 2, with its normal hours, 4:30 p.m. – 9:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and 4:30 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.

In early 2013, owners Kevin, Brandon and Blake Bennett opened Andy’s Bistro on N. Turnbull Drive near Veterans Boulevard to provide a locally-owned suburban dining experience similar in quality to what locals find in downtown New Orleans restaurants. The popular venue has claimed several accolades including multiple “Diner’s Choice” awards through Yelp and Open Table, as well as top honors for “Metairie’s Best Pizza,” restaurant reps said.

“Too often, chains infiltrate the suburbs,” said Blake Bennett. “We have created a unique, casual atmosphere focused on excellent food and familiar service.”

Andy’s fresh seafood features roasted whole fish on the half shell, jumbo sea scallops and various preparations of crab, complemented by both wet- and dry-aged prime steaks. The wood-burning oven provides a distinct style of pizza and flatbreads along with roasted cauliflower with three-cheese cream sauce, charred heart of romaine salad and other specialties. Guests can enjoy Andy’s revolving happy hour specials and the popular burger and all-you-can-drink draft beer special on Mondays, featuring Andy’s house ground Angus burgers topped with items including roasted jalapenos, brie cheese and oven-roasted tomatoes.

In addition, Andy’s is Metairie’s only true Craft Cocktail Bar created by Tomas Garcia, restaurant reps said, which features handcrafted cocktails using fresh ingredients, a seasonal beer selection and approachable wine list.

“We round out our menu with some of the most experienced servers around,” Brandon Bennett said. “Our guests are invited to enjoy all of these features in our main dining room, our lovely lounge, or our outdoor patio.”
