Copper Vine restaurant announced it has appointed Amy Mehrtens as chef de cuisine. In her new role, Mehrtens has unveiled an array of new dishes inspired by the flavors and techniques of the South.
According to Brechtel Hospitality Group owner Kyle Brechtel, “We are thrilled to have Amy at the helm. Chef Mike (Brewer) still remains heavily involved in all things BHG, and is currently transitioning to lead our newest venture Bonfire Catering. Chef Amy will be responsible for menu development and overseeing culinary operations at Copper Vine.”
A graduate of the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park and a certified introductory sommelier, Mehrtens has over a decade of experience in the service industry, including serving as sous chef at Commander’s Palace and interim executive chef at Café Adelaide.
