American Cancer Society To Host Black Ties, Gold & Glitter Tailgate Party

KENNER, LA – The American Cancer Society will host a Black Ties, Gold and Glitter Tailgate Party on Thursday, Nov. 17, at the Crowne Plaza Hotel New Orleans Airport, 2829 Williams Blvd., in Kenner, from 6:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. Proceeds from the event will benefit Relay For Life of East Jefferson Parish, which raises funds for cancer research, education, advocacy and local patient services.

         The tailgating-style event will include a buffet dinner, cash bar, live and silent auction with Chuck Mutz, “The Black Tie Auctioneer,” a football pool and a viewing of the Saints versus Panthers football game on the big screen. Attendees are encouraged to wear their favorite black and gold attire (black ties not required).

         Auction items will include signed Saints items, vacation packages, artwork and much more. Entertainment, music and karaoke will be provided by DJ Stache.

         The Relay For Life movement is the world’s largest fundraising event to fight every cancer in every community, with four million participants in 6,000 events worldwide in 2015. Dollars raised help the American Cancer Society save lives by funding groundbreaking cancer research, supporting education and risk reduction efforts, and providing free information and critical services for people with cancer who need them.

         Sponsorships for Black Ties, Gold & Glitter are available starting at $500. Tickets are $40 per person or $400 for a table of ten.
