NEW ORLEANS – The American Cancer Society (ACS) will host its 16th Annual Belles & Beaus Ball of New Orleans on Friday, September 23, from 6:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. at Mardi Gras World. This year features a patriotic theme and includes live music and performances, auctions and food from more than 40 New Orleans’ restaurants.
The annual event will honor 20 individuals who have made significant contributions in the fight against cancer and will be hosted by three-time Emmy Award-winning journalist and Fox 8 anchor, Nancy Parker, along with her husband, longtime newsman turned public information officer for Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office, Glen Boyd.
“Cancer has impacted my family, friends, and work colleagues,” Council Powell, Jr., 2016 Beau, said. “I don’t know of anyone who has not been affected in some way. The work that the American Cancer Society benefits all of us. A cancer free world should be the ultimate goal!”
