NEW ORLEANS – The American Cancer Society (ACS) will announce its Belles & Beaus honorees for the 17th Annual Belles & Beaus Ball at an announcement party and kickoff event Thursday, July 13, at The Shops at Canal Place, 3rd floor, right outside of Saks Fifth Avenue, from 5:30 p.m. -7:30 p.m.
The Announcement Party and Ball are a chance for community leaders to support the ACS in its mission to save lives, celebrate lives and lead the fight for a world without cancer, event reps said.
The ACS will announce this year’s 20 Belles & Beaus of the Ball at the kickoff event at 6:30 p.m. The honorees are individuals who have made significant contributions in the fight against cancer and represent survivors, volunteers and community members, event reps said. The event chair is Katherine Kleinpeter Raymond and vice chair is Shannon McCloskey Able. Jennifer Hale will host the event.
This complimentary celebration will include beer and wine and feature food by Morton’s The Steakhouse and La Thai. DJ Mike Swift will be curating the evening’s music.
Attendees can take advantage of this one-time opportunity to purchase half-off general admission tickets to the Ball, which will take place on Friday Sept. 22, at Mardi Gras World.
Proceeds benefit the American Cancer Society’s Patrick F. Taylor Hope Lodge, which provides overnight accommodations and a community of support to patients who come to New Orleans for cancer treatment.
