Allstate Sugar Bowl Crescent City Classic Run For It Program Surpasses Fundraising Record with More Than $1.2M in Financial and In-Kind Donations

NEW ORLEANS – Allstate Sugar Bowl Crescent City Classic officials announced in a press release the final tally of $1,212,561.64 of in-kind and financial donations to local New Orleans charity stemming from this year’s race and Run For It program. The total sets a new record for the Run For It program. One-hundred percent of the funds raised by local runners and walkers will remain in the New Orleans area.

In addition to actual cash raised by the charities, the Crescent City Fitness Foundation, sponsoring partners, and volunteers in total contributed nearly $1.2 million dollars to need and service-based organizations across the New Orleans Metro Area.

“This amazing feat was only accomplished because of the investment of our title sponsor, the Allstate Sugar Bowl, and the strong leadership and enormous heart of our Race Director, Eric Stuart,” said Crescent City Classic Charity director Hilary Landry. “We couldn’t be prouder of all of our charity runners and their commitment to raise money for local charities and to give back to the New Orleans community.”

Since its inception six years ago, the Run For It program has infused millions of dollars into the New Orleans community and has united runners, walkers and even the most reluctant of athletes under a common goal: doing good. This success would not be possible without the partnership of local non-profits and the sponsorships of the Allstate Sugar Bowl and Michelob Ultra.

In honor of the success, the Allstate Sugar Bowl Crescent City Classic, along with The Crescent City Fitness Foundation, is proud to announce the formation of Legacy Partners. As inaugural members of the program, these newly announced Legacy Partners will no longer be required to submit an application to participate and charity fundraising via the Crescent City Classic platform will be available to these entities year-round.
