NEW ORLEANS — Allegiant (NASDAQ: ALGT) announced new nonstop service from Concord, NC, to New Orleans. To celebrate, the company is offering one-way fares on the routes for as low as $45.*
“Allegiant is excited to add another nonstop route to New Orleans,” said Jude Bricker, Allegiant chief operating officer. “We look forward to bringing more visitors to enjoy the exceptional sights and sounds of The Big Easy.”
The new year-round flights from Concord Regional Airport (USA) will operate twice a week and begin on Nov. 18, 2016. With this new route, Allegiant will offer nonstop service from nine cities to Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport (MSY).
“We are extremely pleased that Allegiant has added their ninth route to New Orleans,” said Iftikhar Ahmad, director of aviation for Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport. “With four new routes already launched this year, we look forward to Allegiant’s continued growth at the airport.”
Allegiant offers a unique option to New Orleans travelers with low base fares averaging less than half the cost of domestic round-trip tickets purchased in 2015, airline reps said. With unique savings on rental cars, hotel and activity and attraction tickets, travelers can book their entire vacation with Allegiant for less, they said.
Beginning with one aircraft and one route in 1999, Allegiant has grown to over 80 aircraft and more than 300 routes across the country with base airfares less than half the cost of the average domestic roundtrip ticket.
