METAIRIE – The new all female Krewe of Pandora, a spin off from the The Mystic Krewe of Nyx, had its parading permit approved by the Jefferson Parish Council on Wednesday.
According to The Advocate’s Chad Calder the new krewe was created because of the increasing interest in Mardi Gras krewe participation among women.
Calder reports the krewe will accept female members 21-years and older and the captain of Pandora will be Lori Seuzeneau.

They will enjoy their inaugural ride on Monday, February 8, 2016, at 7:00 p.m. along the traditional Metairie parade route.
