NEW ORLEANS – The Al Copeland Foundation’s 3rd Annual Krewe du Cure will take place on Friday, October 30, 2015, at Harrah’s Theatre New Orleans, from 6:30 p.m. – 11:00 p.m., and guests are being asked to either dress to impress (Cocktail) or dress to scare (Costume).
Al Copeland had a fervor for living life to the fullest and was an inspiration to many. After losing his life to Merkel Cell Carcinoma, the Al Copeland Foundation (ACF) was established by his children to carry on their Dad’s wish to cure cancer.
“The passion of the Copeland family runs deep for family, business and our founder, Al Copeland, Sr.,” ACF Director Kathleen Gross said. “That same passion, drive and love led the family to start the Al Copeland Foundation to honor Al Copeland Sr.’s life and final wish to find a cure for cancer. I am honored and excited to have joined such a great team and lead the foundation to achieve this mission and to ensure we help fund phenomenal, ground breaking programs to find a cure for cancer right here in Louisiana!”
All proceeds from Krewe du Cure will support new local cancer research, education and patient programs at the Copeland – LSU Health Sciences Center Partnership in Viruses, Cancer and Immunotherapy.
Krewe Du Cure tickets start at $150.
Sponsor tables and specialized sponsorships are limited.
