NEW ORLEANS – The World Trade Center of New Orleans will host the first installment of its 2015 Executive Speaker Series on Wednesday, March 25, 2015, at the Westin New Orleans Canal Place, 11th floor, Crescent Ballroom, 100 Iberville St.
A VIP meet and greet, registration and networking starts at 8:00 a.m., followed by the program and breakfast at 8:30 a.m., the Speaker Keynote at 8:45 a.m. and a Q&A session at 9:30 a.m.
The event will feature John Buckley, the Chief Executive Officer of Air Liquide USA, LLC, and a member of the Americas Zone leadership team. Buckley leads Air Liquide’s U.S. industrial gas business, overseeing industrial merchant, electronics and large industries businesses as well as U.S. corporate functions including safety, finance, procurement, legal, communications and human resources. Previous to Air Liquide, he served as President of Angus Chemical and Global General Manager at Dow Consumer and Industrial Solutions, and has also held executive positions at Rohm and Hass Company.
Buckley will speak as an industry insider with respect to business, investment and growth in the Gulf Coast, Louisiana and throughout the U.S. and abroad.
American Air Liquide offers industrial gases and related services to a variety of customers including those in large industry, industrial manufacturing, electronics and healthcare marketplaces. Air Liquide announced in February 2015 that it has been selected by Chinese petrochemical company Yuhuang Chemical, Inc., as the supplier of oxygen for its new world-scale methanol manufacturing complex to be built in St. James Parish, LA. Air Liquide will invest around $170 million in this high growth area for the chemical industry.
The Executive Speaker Series (ESS) is a four-part series held annually by the World Trade Center of New Orleans. The ESS was created in order to expose Louisiana businesses to insights from national industry leaders. Featuring a wide variety of speakers from diverse industries, the speaker series allows attendees to expand their network while learning about industry wide best practices.
The event is open to the general public.
