Actor Nathan Fillion To Reign As 2016 Orpheus Monarch

NEW ORLEANS (AP) — Musician, actor and "American Idol" judge Nathan Fillion will be king of the Krewe of Orpheus, which rolls the day before Mardi Gras.

Fillion is best known for his role as the title character Richard Castle in ABC's hit television series, "Castle." His girlfriend, Krista Allen, star of CW's "Significant Mother," will ride with him.

The parade has 40 floats, 30 marching bands and more than 1,300 members. It begins at 6 p.m. Feb. 8, on New Orleans' traditional Uptown route.
