NEW ORLEANS – The Academy of Marketing Science, an international scholarly organization, has named Jeff Zehnder, CEO of New Orleans-based Zehnder Communications, as its Distinguished Marketing Practitioner for 2018.
The award recognizes marketers who distinguish themselves in business or public policy with the highest ethical standards. It was presented on May 24 at the 2018 AMS 46th Annual Conference, which also took place in New Orleans.
Jeff Zehnder founded Zehnder Communications, a fully integrated advertising agency, in 1996. With offices in New Orleans, Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and Nashville, Tennessee, Zehnder Communications provides strategic marketing, creative services, and research and analytics to businesses looking to make a difference.
“AMS is one our industry’s most influential voices, so this is an amazing honor,” Zehnder says. “Our industry is evolving exponentially with technology but ethics in business remains as the foundation.”
Zehnder joins an accomplished list of award winners that includes the late Walt Disney and numerous Fortune 500 CEOs.
“In this changing business climate, Jeff embodies what we look for at the academy,” says AMS President Adilson Borges. “We are an international organization that recognizes and promotes the highest values and integrity in marketing, and we honor ethical leaders who are making a difference in the industry.”
