NEW ORLEANS – The AC Hotel New Orleans Bourbon celebrates its grand opening this week.
AC Hotels by Marriott debuted its first U.S. location on Monday, December 8, in the iconic Cotton Exchange building, located at 221 Carondelet St. in New Orleans.
Additional locations in Kansas City and Miami Beach are scheduled to open in early 2015.
The brand currently offers a portfolio of more than 72 hotels in Spain, Italy, Portugal and France. Growth plans include more than 30 hotels set to open within the next three years throughout the U.S. and Latin America.
Hotel reps said the AC Hotel New Orleans Bourbon is a Nationally Registered Historic hotel that derives its design-forward inspiration from the runways and fashion houses of Milan.
The eight-story, 220-room hotel is modern in design and urban in spirit, and is owned and managed by NewcrestImage, a Texas-based development, construction and management company that purchased the property in June 2013.
