NEW ORLEANS – The 610 Stompers will hold their 6th Annual Superball Sweet 610 Debutante Ball fundraiser on Friday, January 15, 2016, at Mardi Gras World, 1380 Port of New Orleans Place, from 8:00 p.m. to 12:00 p.m.
The 610 Stompers will dance their golden shoes off at the “London Calling” themed event in homage to the classic Clash album.
The event’s proceeds will help fund the Stomper’s trip to dance in the New Year’s Day parade in London in 2017.
Organizers said 1980s English punk attire is strongly encouraged and Stompers fans will get to hear all genres of their favorite 1980s tunes at the Ball.
“We endorse, encourage and love all forms of dance and hope that New Orleanians will bust a move for a great cause,” said 610 Stompers Executive Director Mont Creamer. “You’ll get to see the 610 Stompers’ 2016 dance moves for the very first time.”
Admission includes local food from more than 25 restaurants, an open bar, entertainment, a special party favor, a costume contest and dance-offs galore with fellow 1980s enthusiasts and the 610 Stompers.
Tickets start at $40, and patron party tickets cost $100.
Attendees must be 21 years of age or older.
