David R. Sherman was recognized for his work in Tax Law; James M. Fantaci for Corporate Law, Venture Capital and Mergers & Acquisitions; Conrad Meyer, IV, for Real Estate Law; and Julian R. Murray, Jr., for Criminal Defense, both White Collar and General Practice. Additionally, Fantaci was recognized as the 2017 Venture Capital Law "Lawyer of the Year" award winner in New Orleans.
Best Lawyers is the oldest and most highly-respected peer review guide to the legal profession. Inclusion into its annual Best Lawyers in America list is based entirely on peer-review. The methodology is designed to capture the consensus opinion of leading lawyers about the professional abilities of their colleagues using a sophisticated survey process designed to elicit meaningful and substantive evaluations of the quality of legal services. "Lawyer of the Year" recognitions are also awarded to individual attorneys with the highest overall peer-feedback, and only one lawyer is recognized as the "Lawyer of the Year" for each specialty and location.
