NEW ORLEANS – Meredith Soniat, a 3rd generation family member of the Soniat family, has joined the family business as a new realtor at Soniat Realty, Inc.
Soniat Realty reps say Soniat’s hire comes at a time when the company is launching a new look, new logo, brand colors and updated website.
Soniat Realty is located on the Canal Street streetcar line in Mid-City at 3940 Canal St., the home to one of the original K&B drugstores in New Orleans.
Soniat Realty reps say the Soniat name has been synonymous with real estate sales and property management in the New Orleans area for more than 70 years. Godfrey Soniat, who passed away in 1995, was a founding partner in Soniat and Quinlan Real Estate Company from the early 1960’s until the break-up of the partnership in 1976. At that time Soniat, his wife, Laura Mae, and their son, Bill, established Soniat Realty, Inc.
Bill Soniat, GRI, CPM, is the current President of Soniat Realty, a Past-President of the New Orleans Metropolitan Association of Realtors and a Past President of the Louisiana Chapter of the Institute of Real Estate Management. Julia Soniat is the Vice-President and Office Manager, handling the day-to-day operations.
The company says its co-founders, Godfrey and Laura Mae Soniat, were known for their fair dealings and high ethical standards, and these principles are the foundation upon which Soniat Realty has been built. As a result, they say their business has grown through referrals throughout the community.
The Soniat Realty sales and management team say they have an intimate knowledge of the local area, and and team members work extensively to help buyers and sellers meet their real estate goals.
Soniat Realty specializes in property management of residential properties (single family homes, doubles, small multi-family properties and small commercial properties) and homeowner association management. The current scattered site management portfolio consists of more than 600 units in addition to approximately 20 condominium homeowner associations consisting of approximately 550 units.
