Clover

Clover’s mission is to educate children, strengthen families, and build community.

From its founding as the first settlement house in the deep south to the robust human services nonprofit it is today, Clover’s purpose has remained constant: to educate children, strengthen families, and build community.

Serving more than 8,000 people annually, Clover uses a Whole Family (2Gen) approach that supports both children and their parents or caregivers, working to meet families where they are and improve family well-being, educational outcomes, and economic stability.

Programs include Early Learning Services’ center-based Early Head Start and Head Start programs and a home-based Parents as Educators program for pregnant mothers and children up to age three; Clover Connections workforce development program connecting individuals to training and living-wage careers; Clover Cares adult day care for seniors and adults with developmental or physical disabilities; resident engagement in the Columbia Parc, Heritage Senior Residences, and River Garden neighborhoods; and a summer camp.
