
Annual Meeting
The Jefferson Chamber hosted its 2024 Annual Meeting, presented by Ochsner Health, on Tuesday, February 6 at the Alario Center in Westwego. One of the Chamber’s largest networking and social events attended by elected officials and leaders from diverse industries, the Annual Meeting celebrates the exciting initiatives, events, and advocacy throughout the Jefferson Parish community during the past year. The impressive crowd featuring approximately 600 guests heard from Louisiana Gov. Jeff Landry, Dr. Brian Moore of Ochsner Health for presenting sponsor remarks, Executive Director David Payton of Goldman Sachs, as well as 2023 Board Chair Al Galindo of Entergy Louisiana and 2024 Chair Ryan Rodrigue of HUB International Gulf South.
During the awards ceremony of the event, the Emerging Leader Award, presented by Cintas, was received by Amanda Schott Medearis of 1st Lake Properties for her leadership and commitment to the Chamber and as a committee member with the Jefferson Chamber Young Professionals. Lee Giorgio of Select Properties was honored with the Joseph Rault Community Leader Award for his continued enthusiasm, dedication, and service to the Jefferson Parish community. Ryan Daul of USI Insurance received the Chairman’s Award in appreciation for his positive contributions and dedicated service to the Chamber, while Lee Stolf with WGNO received the Ambassador of the Year Award.

Black & Gold Gala
The Jefferson Chamber’s Black & Gold Gala – The Bye Year, presented by CF Industries, was held on Friday, June 28 at the Jefferson Performing Arts Center in Metairie. The extravagant evening offered guests an open bar, heavy hors d’oeuvres, catered food options, live entertainment, and a silent auction with a curated selection of local gifts and certificates, as well as domestic and international travel opportunities.

Crawfish Boil
On Friday, May 17, the Jefferson Chamber hosted its 26th Annual Crawfish Boil, presented by The Zito Group. Over 700 guests, including large and small business owners and representatives and elected officials, gathered for 2,000 pounds of top-notch crawfish, Cajun cuisine, beverages, music, outdoor entertainment, and outstanding networking opportunities.

Golf Classic
On Thursday, November 14, the Chamber’s 25th Annual Golf Classic, presented by CF Industries, teed off at TPC Louisiana, home to the state’s only PGA TOUR event, the Zurich Classic of New Orleans. Limited to 144 players, members enjoyed a day on the links with business friends, clients, Jefferson Chamber leadership, and key decision-makers in the community. The outing was held in a shotgun-style tournament using all 18 holes for play, while participants enjoyed a light breakfast, coffee, brunch cocktails, and engaging business vendors stationed around the course.

Washington Mardi Gras
In January, the Jefferson Chamber joined more than 2,000 people from Louisiana at the annual Washington Mardi Gras event, a festive weekend in Washington, D.C. that celebrates Louisiana’s culture. Attendees had the opportunity to network with top business leaders and the Louisiana Senatorial and Congressional delegations for three days of networking and economic development, complete with a side of revelry, elegant celebration, and fun!
