In 2024, the Jefferson Chamber conducted five Business & Breakfast events, which serve as targeted networking and contact-building breakfasts designed to give attendees an opportunity to meet and share their business with fellow Chamber members. Attendees are invited to network at a table of eight for two 20-minute sessions. With an average attendance of almost 70, this event is a great way for members to get involved with the Chamber and meet fellow members.
The Chamber hosted four Business Card Exchanges during the year, which were held at a New Orleans Pelicans game in January, Copeland’s of New Orleans in May, NOLA Motorsports Park in September, and The Primary Workspace in Gretna in December. Card exchanges are the perfect opportunity to meet and network with fellow Chamber members in a laid-back, informal environment.
Partnering with the Gretna Economic Development Association, the Chamber’s last Business Card Exchange of the year also served as the annual Holiday Networking Social, held on Tuesday, December 10 at The Primary Workspace in Gretna. Members of the business community gathered to spread holiday cheer over hors d’oeuvres and drinks.
In conjunction with the Jefferson Parish Economic Development Commission (JEDCO), the Jefferson Chamber hosted nine Prosper Jefferson seminars. Prosper Jefferson is an educational series that was created in 2015 in an effort to support small business owners and help them reach the next level of success in Jefferson Parish. Each seminar features different speakers from the Greater New Orleans region and highlights new informational topics to assist local businesses in achieving their goals.
Chamber 101 gives new and prospective members an opportunity to learn about all of the various aspects in which the Jefferson Chamber functions. Opportunities for involvement, advocacy, money-saving member benefits, and ways for businesses to be showcased within the Chamber and in the community are just some of the topics discussed at Chamber 101, which is held every six weeks, with lunch catered by a Chamber member.
