Two small businesses owned and operated by Valarie and Dwayne Roy, PSA Grant Management, LLC and PSA Training & Consulting, LLC join forces to connect industry training, funding, resources and consulting services for employers. Since 2007, PSA has remained highly distinguished in its field for not only securing funds to develop employers’ workforce but tailoring training plans to their unique needs. Acting as a liaison, PSA connects employers with state programs and businesses that aid them in investing in their employees, thus boosting skill, morale and efficiency.
Playing a vital role in growing Louisiana’s businesses is PSA’s Business Development and Hospitality Manager Katherine May. First working with PSA as a client, Katherine was drawn to the consulting and grant writing side of training. She now utilizes her comprehensive hospitality experience to a larger portion of the industry’s businesses thrive, and it is this experience that gives PSA a distinctive edge.
“I have worked in retail, restaurants, casinos and resorts at all levels of the business. This industry knowledge allows us to be flexible and help employers develop strategies to implement successful training,” said Katherine.
Beyond Katherine’s expert insight, PSA offers valuable certifications in the industry, including ServSafe Manager, ServSafe Food Handlers, TiPS Responsible Vendor and CPR. PSA also collaborates with businesses to design custom training plans, writes and submits competitive grant applications, administers grants upon approval and connects businesses with programs that help with the cost of training when necessary.
