NEW ORLEANS – The 2015 Louisiana Energy Conference, that will take place Wednesday, June 10, through Friday, June 12, 2015, at the Westin Canal Place Hotel in New Orleans, will host a series of 19 panels featuring executives from nearly 70 public and private energy companies as well as advisory and support firms that will discuss key domestic and international industry issues.
A detailed updated agenda can be found below.
The all-panel format will be particularly relevant this year as both public and private companies will talk about coping with low energy prices and reduced capital expenditure budgets, and what their expectations are for the future.
There will also be several topical panels to discuss matters including the outlook for supply, pricing and U.S. crude oil exports, recent trends in recapitalizations, credit facility concerns and the role that private equity is having in the industry today.
The Louisiana Energy Conference will also be hosting at least four field trips on Friday, June 12, to offshore Gulf of Mexico and onshore south Louisiana facilities:
• Shallow Water Gulf of Mexico: Crew boat trip to visit Century Exploration production platform
• Houma Louisiana: Visit Gulf Island Fabrication and a shipyard where offshore structures and supply vessels are under construction
• Port Fouchon Louisiana: Visit Hornbeck Offshore Supply Vessel and tour Deep Water servicing facilities
• Gulf Gateway Rail Terminal: Visit crude oil destination terminal in New Orleans East that can transfer 10,000 barrels per hour to barges or tanks
Participation in the field trips will be very limited and offered to registered investment professionals (highest priority) and other guests (as available) after they complete registration. All trips will return guests to the New Orleans airport by about 3:00 p.m.
The Louisiana Energy Conference will host its annual networking dinner on Wednesday, June 10, at the National World War II Museum from 6:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. The evening will begin with a viewing of the new interactive exhibit "Road to Berlin." The dinner buffet and networking event will be held in the "US Freedom Pavilion: The Boeing Center" with live entertainment and cocktails.
On Thursday June 11, Jones Walker LLP will host jazz music and cocktails at Pat O's on the River, located on the third floor of Jax Brewery at 600 Decatur St., in the Grande Terrace room, from 5:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.
