$12M Fleur De Lis Drive Reconstruction Project Causes 7-Month Detour

NEW ORLEANS — The City of New Orleans construction contractor, Command Construction Industries, LLC, re-routed northbound traffic on Fleur De Lis Drive in the West End neighborhood to the traditionally southbound travel lane. The northbound lane between 30th and 32nd streets is closed as crews excavate and replace the existing sewer line.

The detour should last approximately seven months and is part of the Fleur De Lis Drive reconstruction project between 30th Street and Old Hammond Highway. The $12 million Fleur de Lis Drive reconstruction project calls for removing and replacing existing water, sewer and drainage lines, repaving the roadway in concrete, installing new sidewalks and installing American with Disabilities Act-compliant curb ramps at intersections.

For questions and/or concerns about the project, contact RoadworkNOLA at (504) 658-ROAD or send e-mail to roadwork@nola.gov.
