NEW ORLEANS – The Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Louisiana (HCCL) received a $10,000 grant from the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Foundation and Wells Fargo to continue their mission of fostering the continued economic growth, development and promotion of Hispanic businesses and their associations in the State of Louisiana, and to serve as the conduit between the Hispanic business community and the community at large.
The USHCC provides $100,000 dollars annually to chambers in the U.S. to support programs that provide economic development opportunities to small business communities and serve their members. Chamber recipients were recognized at the USHCC 2016 Legislative Summit in Washington D.C. on Tuesday, April 19, 2016.
HCCL reps said due to demographic and cultural shifts taking place in society, financial needs and impact of climate change, Wells Fargo has committed itself in assisting affected areas with products, services, corporate culture, operations and philanthropy, and with a philanthropic goal donation of $665 million by 2020, to address social, economic and environmental needs. In addition, HCCL credits Wells Fargo with donating time and financial resources to local nonprofit organizations.
